Resin diffusion membrane©

Our resin diffusion membrane has been developed in close liaison with companies that use resin infusion systems with reinforcement fabrics.

Existing products can be divided into two types, those made from an extruded mesh and those made from knitted monofilament fibre.

The extruded mesh is not particularly flexible. It will flex in one plane, but not through double curvature, resulting in the need to cut the mesh to fit.

Of the knitted monofilament fibre, some do not offer a sufficiently high flow rate, and 2 layers of product are required. With others, the fabric edge curls, leading to handling difficulties.

All these result in either increased product and/or handling costs.

Our product was developed with the above in mind.

Resin diffusion membrane © has been engineered for optimum flow rate through a single layer, will go through double curvature, is resistant to edge curl and is very easy to handle.

Its flow rate is controllable and has been shown to be at least 65% higher than present products.
